Crush Bar, in SE Portland, is a cool, kitschy gay bar featuring American food & lots of events, including drag & burlesque shows. Need somewhere to catch the latest episode of RuPaul's Drag Race? Head over to Crush Bar, and you'll be friends with the locals in minutes.

JAKE B. LOVES THE STANDARD

The Standard is a straightforward neighborhood tavern with patio seating, pool tables & a jukebox in a low-key setup. But really? It's a badass dive bar with a great indoor/outdoor vibe, with an adults-only vending machine, photobooth, Great Zoltar and other arcade machines, delicious boozy slushee specials ($4, anyone??), and a good as hell time, everytime. And, it's easily walkable from the hotel. Win-win-win.

KRIS M. LOVES STEEPLEJACK BREWING

Steeplejack Brewing Company is a laid-back brewhouse in a spacious, church-like setting offering plentiful burgers & outdoor seating. What makes it church-like you may ask? It's housed in a 110-year-old renovated church building -- complete with steeple! Make sense? We think so too. Plus, it's only a few blocks from the hotel. Check it out!

DAVID M. LOVES THE ALIBI

The Alibi Tiki Lounge is a long-lived tiki bar with island-themed murals, tropical cocktails & nightly high-energy karaoke. It's kind of a Portland rite of passage to do karaoke at The Alibi. If you're nervous about being able to find the bar in North Portland, start driving north on N Interstate St, and you'll see the brightest bright neon lights. You seriously can't miss it!

KATIE W. LOVES VICTORIA BAR

Not far from The Alibi, you'll find Victoria Bar, a local drinking parlor crafting offbeat cocktails (many of which are named after Princess Bride) & Southern eats in a rustic locale with outdoor seating. We totally recommend checking them out for brunch, lunch, dinner, or after dinner drinks. It's a well-known first date spot, with many return visits because how often do you get a drink called an R.O.U.S.? IYKYK.

Does a good bar mean great dancing to you? We've got the perfect spot. The Goodfoot has a pub upstairs that offers pool, pinball, bar food & beers on tap, while the basement dance club hosts live acts & DJs. You'll find us there on Soul Night!
