Asher Rose has been developing his skills as a painter for over a decade. As a Portland, Oregon based emerging artist, Asher continues to develop his skills and use these skills to reflect the world around him. Originally trained as a carpenter, he combines an appreciation for order and classical structure with iconographic form, symbolism and expressionistic colors. Having a familiarity with and an appreciation for numerous aspects of most genres of painting, elements of each genre are utilized in in his body of work.

Working primarily in oil, Rose uses various instruments including brushes, palette knives, razors and spray cans to achieve harmony between different techniques and combinations of diverse subject matter and genre.

In the fall of 2017 Asher suffered an unexpected health crisis which required a number of surgeries and hospitalizations. He is on the road to recovery and is just beginning to paint again. Asher is excited to get his work out into the community. Art is meant to be shared.
