DOUG FIR LOUNGE

Our pals at Doug Fir, named one of Rolling Stone Magazine's Best Clubs in America (2013), has been hosting bands of all genres since 2004. Connected to the original Jupiter Hotel, the underground futuristic wood-paneled 50s modernism of the Doug Fir lends itself as a pretty badass backdrop to seeing your favorite shows in the Rose City. The best part? You can walk upstairs, get a room at Jupiter Hotel, and have the night of your life in Central Eastside. Rock on.

REVOLUTION HALL & MISSISSIPPI STUDIOS

The team behind the historic Mississippi Studios small venue bought and renovated Washington High School in 2015, turning it into the now much-adored Revolution Hall (Rev Hall to locals), hosting local, national, and international bands and other acts (think podcasts, comedy stars, and many more). With a rooftop bar and several other food & bev options on site, you'll have a blast. Plus, the venue is nearby Jupiter NEXT, making it perfect for a night out that ends in a night in at the hotel. Get to it!

CRYSTAL BALLROOM & EDGEFIELD

If you've been to Portland or the Pacific Northwest in general, chances are you've heard of or been to one of the McMenamins locations across the PNW. Two of our favorites include the epic outdoor concert venue Edgefield, located a stone's throw outside of Portland, as well as the medium-sized venue Crystal Ballroom across the river on W Burnside.  Both sites play host to bands from around the world, and Edgefield makes the summer time even sunnier with their huge lawn and gorgeous locale. Get tickets to see your favorite band, then head to Jupiter NEXT to take a load off after the show.

ROSELAND THEATER

Right across the river (a 10-min walk!) is one of Portland's premier standing-room-only venues, Roseland Theater. The Roseland has been host to famous acts such as Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, Miles Davis, Pearl Jam, Jerry Garcia Band, Bonnie Raitt, and Prince, among many others. This one is easy... Grab dinner and drinks at Hey Love in Jupiter NEXT, then head over on a casual walk to the Roseland Theater venue across the Burnside Bridge. After the show, cap it off with a Hey Love nightcap (we love a good bookend bar evening!), and head upstairs to your room at the NEXT.

ALADDIN THEATER

Around since the 1920s, the Aladdin Theater has seen the birth of film itself, and in the '60s and '70s saw the popular emergence of adult films, as well! Since the early 1990s, following a much-needed renovation and upgrade, the Aladdin has been host to musical performances, vaudeville acts, comedians, and so much more. Check out their calendar, below, and book a room at the NEXT to make your night out complete!
