Luc Lac Kitchen in downtown Portland is a bustling, always busy, excruciatingly hip counter-serve restaurant serving pho, banh mi & other Vietnamese fare. Katie's favorite is the tofu peanut curry. Hot tip -- if the line is insane, call in to-go and pick it up at the window. While the restaurant itself is awesomely decorated and totally worth the wait, you can always grab your food and head to a bench on the waterfront, just a block or so walk away.

A block away from the hotel, you'll find Normandie, our neighborhood's chic bistro with French fare & full bar featuring a lengthy wine list. Plus, with two happy hour periods, you'll always find something for everyone. Not only are they known for high-level French food, their coastal-inspired restaurant serves fresh, playful, and bright cuisine that's as eye-catching and IG-worthy as it is delicious.

Ken's Artisan Pizza is a long-standing Portland favorite, with wood-fired oven pizzas that are Italian-inspired with an American accent. These thin-crust pies are topped with ever-changing seasonal toppings, salads and starters that might also be your whole meal, and a panna cotta that is to die for.

Flying Fish is a restaurant and fresh market down the road from Jupiter on E Burnside St. They source sustainable, humane protein from land and sea, serving amazing renditions of lobster mac and cheese, a PNW-focused oyster bar, and so many other delicious goodies. Definitely recommended for folks who love any and all seafoods. You'll have a hard time deciding on their menu... which is obviously the best problem to have!

It's about as Italian as they come, and alongside the incredible menu, you'll find a divine wine list and a small market with your favorite goodies to take with you.
